Democrat - Hendricks County Council
Marty on the Issues
"I stopped counting the number of unanimous
votes on the council a long time ago. It is past time that
some new ideas come to Hendricks County."
The Council has given over $200 million in property value over the last two years in tax abatements. These deals give certain terms the company must adhere to, yet no two deals are worded the same. There are not enough protections in place for the taxpayer, and
I want to change that.
Our rural infrastructure is in rough shape in Hendricks County. Too often the focus lies on main roads and these back roads are forgotten about. I will make sure to be a voice of rural communities to help improve the quality of infrastructure out there.
Parks and Recreation
Parks play a vital role in our communities as hubs for children to play and meet one another. If tax revenue is down because of COVID-19 and causes cuts in the budget, I want to ensure our parks are protected.
Hendricks County currently ranks 8th out of 92 counties when it comes to COVID-19 cases. Leadership was needed during this global pandemic and public health needs to become a bigger focus. If elected to the council I will make this a top priority to help mitigate the effects of the current pandemic, and prepare for a future one.

I cannot win this without your help. Please consider volunteering to distribute yard signs,
no-contact literature, and get notified when other opportunities come about.
